Hydraulic Line Tubes (HPL) from Salzgitter Mannesmann Precision (SMP) are a high quality Seamless Cold Drawn precision tube predominantly for use
as pressure lines in hydraulically or pneumatically operated equipment though they can also be used for a wide range of other applications.
Size Range:
- Outside Diameter: 4mm to 80mm
- Wall thickness: 0.75mm to 12.50mm
- Technical standards: EN 10305-4 (Previously DIN 2391 and DIN 1630)
- Tolerances: According to table HPL Tubes
- Steel grades: E235 (ST37.4) and E355 (ST52.4)
- Delivery condition: +N (NBK) Normalised
- Design of wall thickness: DIN 2413-1 Load case I, II or III
Cold Workability:
The final heat treatment gives HPL tubing good cold workability such as bending & flaring. When bending is performed, the associated reduction
in wall thickness on the outer bend and out of roundness on the inner bend must be taken into consideration.
Weldability:
The tubes are weldable without preheating and post-weld heat in accordance with current procedures.
Corrosion protection:
All tubes are provided with corrosion protection:
HPL Tubes Black
- 2mm di <6mm: internal and external surface is lubricated
- di >6mm : internal and external surface phosphatized and lubricated or only lubricated
HPL Tubes Galvanised - Cr 6 free – high performance passivation
Externally galvanised tubes with a Zinc coating of 8 to 12 micron and subsequently passivated or chromated, plus temporary corrosion protection
(inhibitor containing mineral), resistance against white corrosion.
Other details as standard:
